Munger, June 24 (IANS). Special Task Force (STF) and District Police Force conducted joint raids from Sangrampur police station area of ​​Munger district of Bihar and arrested two arms smugglers, including a woman smuggler, from whom many weapons have been recovered.

Tarapur’s Sub-Divisional Police Officer Pankaj Kumar said that on the basis of secret information, a woman and a man were caught with the goods kept in a bag near Sangrampur taxi stand on Sangrampur-Gangta main road with the help of Sangrampur police station and STF. .

During the search, 13 pistols, 26 magazines, 100 bullets besides two mobile phones were recovered from inside the bag. After this both were arrested, who are being interrogated.

He said that the arrested smugglers have been identified as Ranjit Mandal, a resident of Khagadia and Sadhna Devi, a resident of Parbata, Bhagalpur Bihar.

Kumar told that the woman smuggler is being used so that the police do not investigate her and the weapon can easily reach another place. Police are trying to find out from where the weapons were being brought and where it was to be supplied.
