New Delhi, March 16 (IANS) A murder accused, who had been on the run for the past 15 years, was apprehended by the Delhi Police’s Special Cell from his hideout in Bihar’s Buxar. The accused, identified as Sanjay Singh, had a reward of Rs 50,000 declared on information leading to his arrest.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Special Cell, Amit Kaushik, stated that the team received information about Singh’s location and acted swiftly to apprehend him from a relative’s house in a village in Buxar, Bihar. Singh had been working as a salesman at a petrol pump in Anand Vihar since 2008.

The incident dates back to September 30, 2009, when a quarrel between petrol pump employees, including Singh, and Himanshu and his friends resulted in Himanshu being shot dead.
