157th Lala Lajpat Rai Birth Anniversary 2022: The life of Lala Lajpat Rai, one of the heroes of the Indian freedom struggle and the famous leader of the Lal, Bal, Pal trio, remains a source of inspiration for the younger generation even today. On this day i.e. 28 January, the birth anniversary of the great freedom fighter of the country, Lala Lajpat Rai is celebrated. Lala Lajpat Rai was born on 28 January 1865 in the Monga district of Punjab. They were also known as Punjab Kesari. Apart from being a freedom fighter, he was a successful businessman as well, he established Punjab National Bank and Lakshmi Insurance Company.

He was one of the three prominent leaders of the Garam Dal in the Indian National Congress, Lal-Bal-Pal. He devoted his entire life to firmly standing up for Indian nationalism against British rule. Lajpat Rai did many historical works in his life, due to which the people of the country remember him with great respect. Lala Lajpat Rai had led this movement in Lahore. His movement shook the British government. Lala Lajpat Rai was martyred on November 17, 1928, during this protest when the British fired at the protestors.
