The plot of the series revolves around Akhandanand Tripathi, played by Pankaj Tripathi, also known as Kaleen Bhaiya, ruler, and mafia of Mirzapur in the Purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh. In its first season, the cast of the series featured Shweta Tripathi, Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Vikrant Massey, Harshita Gaur, Rasika Dugal, and Kulbhushan Kharbanda. The first season proved to be a massive success, dominating social media with its funny meme and dialogue delivery.

It shows him as Akhandanand Tripathi, a millionaire that works in the carpet business as well as the original don of Mirzapur. He has a son named Munna, desperate, and power-hungry who will cross every limit to achieve his father’s power. Due to some mishap, he has to cross paths with Ramakant Pandit, an upstanding lawyer as well as his sons, Guddu and Bablu.
