Toyota Kirloskar Motor has introduced the “Awesome New Car Delivery Solution,” an initiative to transport new vehicles from dealer stockyards to their sales outlets on a flat-bed truck. This program aims to improve customer satisfaction and streamline the vehicle delivery process.
With the launch of the first phase of this program, customers from 26 states with 130 dealerships can now avail of this service. The company stated that the new initiative will enable Toyota dealers to transport new cars from dealership stockyards to their sales outlets on a flatbed truck, ensuring vehicles reach the final delivery outlets without being driven on the road.
As part of the program, dealerships have tied up with a logistics company to utilize flatbed single-car carriers, aiming to mitigate the risks associated with new vehicle transportation. Additionally, transit insurance is provided to fortify the protection of vehicles during transportation.
Sabari Manohar, Vice President of Sales-Service-Used Car Business at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, emphasized that this initiative will bring peace of mind to customers and establish a uniform purchasing experience across all locations, particularly benefiting customers in rural and semi-urban areas.
In addition to the new initiative, Toyota Kirloskar Motor recently resumed deliveries of the Innova Crysta, Hilux, and Fortuner diesel models after temporarily halting dispatches in India following a global halt on the brand’s select diesel engines. The company confirmed that the diesel engines meet the stipulated Indian regulations.
The implementation of the “Awesome New Car Delivery Solution” reflects Toyota’s commitment to enhancing customer satisfaction and safety in vehicle transportation, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas where last-mile logistics pose challenges.
