Indian cricketer Ajinkya Rahane has added a luxurious new set of wheels to his garage. The top-order batsman recently took delivery of the Mercedes-Maybach GLS, a SUV finished in Polar White, a unique choice for the high-end vehicle. The Maybach GLS is based on the standard Mercedes-Benz GLS, featuring a distinctive chromed-out grille, LED headlamps, and 22-inch alloy wheels. The SUV proudly sports the Maybach badge on the bonnet and B-pillar, making it a standout choice for celebrities.
The interior is as opulent as it gets, with Nappa leather upholstery, reclining seats with massage and ventilation, extendable folding tables, a built-in refrigerator, and more. The SUV can be configured as a four or five-seater, depending on the package.
Under the hood, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 is powered by a 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 engine churning out 542 bhp and 730 Nm of torque. The engine is also fitted with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system for added power and torque. Paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and 4MATIC all-wheel drive, the Maybach GLS can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 4.9 seconds, with an electronically-limited top speed of 250 kmph.
