Noida Police release updated traffic advisory for Farmers’ protest, recommend alternative routes for commuters

Noida Police has issued a fresh traffic advisory amidst the ongoing farmers’ protest march to Delhi, recommending commuters to use alternative routes and avoid key roads. The advisory suggests Delhi-bound travelers to opt for metro rail instead of driving during this time to avoid congestion and delays.

Authorities have set up barricades and intensified vehicle checks on roads leading to the national capital. Heavy traffic jams have been reported on routes from Gautam Buddha Nagar to Delhi due to strict security measures. To alleviate congestion, Noida Police urges commuters to utilize metro rail services and restricts the entry of certain goods vehicles on key roads.

While Noida Police enhances border security, Delhi Police plans to reopen crucial borders to facilitate regular traffic flow. The process to unseal the road below the Singhu Border flyover has commenced after its closure during the farmers’ ‘Delhi Chalo’ protest. The Tikri border barriers have also been removed by Delhi police, aiming to ease traffic movement in the area.

At the Ghazipur border connecting Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, two lanes remain open for regular traffic while the UP Gate is closed with cemented barriers on the service lane below. Despite some relaxation, Delhi Police has directed personnel at Singhu, Tikri, and Ghazipur borders to stay vigilant for any developments, conducting mock drills to manage traffic flow efficiently.

The Noida Police’s traffic advisory and the ongoing border security measures are responses to the farmers’ protest march towards Delhi, impacting traffic on key routes. Stay updated for further developments as authorities continue to monitor the situation closely.
