Porsche gears up to launch new models, uncertain about potential profits

Porsche is set to introduce four new models, including Panamera, Macan EV, and a hybrid 911. The German luxury car manufacturer aims to boost sales but expects lower profits due to high launch costs, predicting a decrease in operating returns compared to 2023.

The flagship electric Taycan Turbo GT has already been unveiled with enhanced range, faster charging, and improved performance. Porsche plans to focus more on electrification, introducing hybrid technology in the updated Porsche 911 for the first time, enhancing both performance and efficiency using energy captured during braking. The new 911 is set to be unveiled in June or July this year.

The company is also preparing to launch new versions of Panamera, Macan, and the iconic 911. The all-electric Panamera will hit the market first, followed by the updated Taycan and the highly anticipated Macan EV. Deliveries of the Macan EV, which has already received 10,000 orders, are expected to begin in the second half of 2024, running alongside its internal combustion engine counterpart.
