Announcement: 2025 Nissan GT-R possibly the final edition of the supercar revealed in Japan

The 2025 Nissan GT-R has been unveiled for the Japanese market, possibly signaling the end of the iconic model. The latest iteration features minor updates, including new interior upholstery and special editions. While not confirmed, it could be the final production model of the GT-R.

The 2025 GT-R introduces new Blue Heaven interior upholstery and T-Spec and Track Edition variants. Performance enhancements include weight-balanced piston rings, connecting rods, and crankshafts. The Track Edition also boasts aluminium certification plates and gold-colored number plates in the engine bay.

Nissan plans to sell the 2025 GT-R in limited numbers, with reports suggesting production will be capped at 1,500 units. Nicknamed ‘Godzilla,’ this version could mark the end of the GT-R legacy, which began production in 2007 after years of development and concept previews.

Looking ahead, Nissan might be working on an all-electric GT-R for future release. The automaker showcased the Hyper Force concept in 2023, hinting at the possibility of an electrified successor. Fans hope for a grand farewell to the GT-R, which has left a lasting impact on the automotive world.
