Tata Curvv EV spotted once more before release, boasting a range of up to 500 km

Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the Curvv EV in the Indian market, with a driving range of up to 500 km. The Curvv EV test mule was recently spotted near Coimbatore, confirming Tata’s plans to introduce the electric vehicle in the financial year 2024-25, between July and September.

The Curvv EV is expected to offer both Medium Range and Long Range versions. It will be positioned above the Nexon EV in Tata Motors’ lineup and will be available through the company’s new EV-only dealerships. The design of the Curvv EV resembles the Nexon facelift from the front but features a new coupe-like profile on the side and distinct LED tail lamps at the rear.

In addition to the electric powertrain, Tata Motors will also offer the Curvv with internal combustion engines. The lineup will include a 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 113 bhp and 260 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. There will also be a new 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine with direct injection, delivering 123 bhp and 225 Nm of torque.

The launch of the Tata Curvv EV is highly anticipated, as it promises a significant driving range and a choice of powertrains to cater to different preferences. With a distinctive design and the backing of Tata Motors’ expertise in electric vehicles, the Curvv EV is poised to make a mark in the Indian automotive market.
