Suzuki Motorcycle India Achieves Record Sales in FY2024

Suzuki Motorcycle India announced its sales for FY2024, revealing a substantial 21% growth in the previous financial year. The two-wheeler giant sold 11,33,902 units between March 2023 and April 2024, compared to 938,371 units in FY2023, marking its highest annual sales ever.

Out of the total units sold, domestic sales for Suzuki stood at 921,009 units in FY2024, showcasing a remarkable 26% increase from the previous year. Exports also saw growth, with 212,893 units shipped, reflecting a 3% rise compared to the 2022-23 financial period.

In March 2024, Suzuki’s sales remained strong with a 6.2% year-on-year growth. The company sold 103,669 units, with domestic sales reaching 86,164 units, showing an 18% increase. However, exports in March saw a decline of 28.59%, totaling 17,505 units.

Managing Director of Suzuki Motorcycle India, Kenichi Umeda, expressed gratitude to customers, dealer partners, suppliers, and the SMIPL team for their support in achieving the highest-ever sales in FY2023-24. The company’s performance reflects the trust and confidence customers have in Suzuki two-wheelers.

Suzuki’s scooter range, including models like Access, Burgman Street, and Avenis, continues to be the top-selling segment. The Gixxer 155 and Gixxer 250 series, along with premium motorcycles like the Hayabusa and Katana, also contribute to sales figures. Additionally, the recent launch of the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE adventure tourer further enhances the company’s product portfolio in the Indian market.
