First look: Mercedes EQS debuts with fresh design, technology, and battery upgrades

Mercedes Benz has confirmed that it will launch nine new cars in India, including three new EVs, this year. These could also include the EQS facelift. German auto giant Mercedes Benz has introduced the facelift version of its flagship electric sedan EQS in global markets.

The 2025 EQS comes with new design elements, updated features, and a bigger battery that promises more range per charge. The facelift version of the electric sedan presents several design changes on the outside, with a more conventional Mercedes look with a black grille and horizontal chrome inserts.

Inside the cabin, Mercedes will offer the giant 56-inch MBUX system as a standard feature in all variants of the new EQS. Additionally, the 2025 EQS provides more space and luxury for rear passengers with features like the optional Rear Comfort Package Plus with executive seats.

Mercedes Benz has also equipped the EQS facelift with a bigger 118 kWh battery pack, promising a driving range of around 699 km on a single charge. This range can even go up to 822 km in some variants of the electric sedan. The carmaker is expected to launch the new EQS in India soon, along with eight other new models this year, including three electric vehicles.
