The Lal Chand Kataruchak controversy has not died down while another sex scandal has hit the AAP Government in Punjab.
This time it is a purported video which allegedly showed Balkar Singh, AAP MLA and a minister in the Punjab Government engaging in inappropriate sexual conduct.
BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga brought into light a video which showed the minister m*sturbating with a 21-year old during a video call.

The video has caught the notice of National Commission for Women (NCW) on Monday and it has ordered a probe into the allegation of sexual misconduct against Punjab minister Balkar Singh and sought a report from state police within three days.
https://twitter.com/Indian_Analyzer/status/1795030210603081954NCW chairperson Rekha Sharma has directed Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav to probe the inappropriate sexual conduct of Balkar Singh, an AAP MLA.
Sharma has termed the incident as an insult to the dignity of women and has asked the DGP to have the provisions of the IPC be incorporated in the First Information Report (FIR) if the allegations are substantiated.
Sharma said,
“The accused person should be arrested at the earliest and the detailed action taken report along with a copy of the F.I.R should be communicated to the Commission within 3 days,”
The NCW in a post on X said,
“The National Commission for Women is gravely disturbed by a Twitter post alleging inappropriate conduct by Punjab MLA Mr Balkar Singh. The reported acts, if substantiated, constitute serious violations under IPC sections 354 and 354B, directly affronting a woman’s dignity. @sharmarekha vehemently condemn such behavior and call for urgent intervention from @DGPPunjabPolice to ensure a prompt and impartial investigation. A comprehensive report to be submitted in 3 days,”
Balkar Singh has refused to comment on the allegation and said he was not aware of any such video.
The video has led to a slugfest with BJP and Shiromani Akali Dal has questioned the silence of chief minister Bhagwant Mann and inaction against Singh despite all the evidence.
Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia posted on X,
“Punjab is the land of gurus pirs, can there be representatives of the public who are doing unethical work in this land?”
BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa also tweeted,
“Would CM @BhagwantMann Ji protect Balkar Singh as well just like he shielded Lal Chand KataruChak, despite their sex tapes being made public??? How many more characterless MLAs AAP has in its kitty???”
