AIIMS Chief calls for revolutionizing physiology interventions to enhance patient care
New Delhi, April 5 (IANS) – AIIMS Director Dr M. Srinivas emphasized the importance of revolutionizing intervention in human physiology to enhance patient care. Speaking at a three-day hands-on workshop, he encouraged participants to embrace innovative teaching methods and transcend the traditional boundaries of physiology to shape clinical interventions.
The “Techniques in Physiological Sciences” (TIPS) workshop, which took place from April 2 to 4, provided medicos with a unique opportunity to acquire practical skills in advanced physiological techniques. Participants explored various physiological domains, including cardiovascular, respiratory, neurophysiology, and behavioral techniques, gaining hands-on training in cutting-edge methodologies like non-invasive brain mapping and objective assessments of lifestyle modifications.
Dr Kanwalpreet Kochhar, the Prof & Head In-Charge of Cognitive Neurophysiology & Nutrition Lab at AIIMS, highlighted the workshop’s focus on revolutionizing the understanding and intervention in human physiology. He emphasized the importance of a holistic approach to health, incorporating advanced techniques to reshape the narrative of physiology and actively contribute to patient care.
The workshop aimed to inspire participants to delve deeper into the world of physiology and transcend traditional classroom teachings. Through 16 dynamic workshops, the event sought to redefine how medical professionals approach human physiology, emphasizing the vital role it plays in all aspects of healthcare, from clinical practice to industry applications. Participants were encouraged to share their newly acquired skills and knowledge with others, ensuring that the impact of the workshop extends beyond the confines of the event.
