Ajit Pawar Welcomes Former MP Shivajirao Adhalrao to NCP, Announces His Candidature from Shirur

NCP chief Ajit Pawar announced the nomination of former MP Shivajirao Adhalrao from Shirur constituency in Pune district. Adhalrao, who joined NCP after leaving Shiv Sena, will contest against sitting MP Amol Kolhe. Ajit Pawar urged party workers to ensure Adhalrao’s victory for the third term of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Ajit Pawar emphasized the importance of Adhalrao’s victory and criticized Kolhe for being inactive during his previous term. He urged voters to focus on activating booth-level machinery and secure a margin of 1 lakh votes in Adhalrao’s hometown. Pawar also defended Adhalrao’s return to NCP, calling it a “homecoming” for the former MP.

Ajit Pawar questioned the opposition’s campaign against BJP and emphasized the need to expose misinformation during voter outreach. He highlighted the development prospects under the double engine of Centre and Maharashtra, urging party workers to ensure Adhalrao’s victory with a higher margin. The battle for Shirur constituency is set to intensify with Adhalrao’s entry into the race.

The move is seen as a strategic decision by NCP to strengthen its position in Pune district. Adhalrao’s re-entry into NCP and the party’s push for his victory reflect the high stakes in the upcoming elections. As the campaign heats up, all eyes will be on Shirur constituency to see how the political dynamics unfold in the region.
