Perth, Feb 17 (IANS) – The Australia women’s team dominated the one-off Test against South Africa women, securing a massive innings and 284 runs victory inside three days. After Annabel Sutherland’s incredible double-century on day two, Australia declared at 9-575 – the highest Women’s Test innings score in history – with a 499-run lead. South Africa, however, showed resilience with a valiant resistance but eventually succumbed to a relentless Australian bowling attack.

Despite facing a daunting deficit of 432 runs when they resumed on day 3 at 3/67, South Africa put up a tough fight led by Delmi Tucker and Tazmin Brits, frustrating the Australian bowlers with a gritty partnership.
