Altercation over liquor: Man hit with brick in Delhi, dies

A 53-year-old man died and another was injured after being attacked with a brick following a quarrel over alcohol in north Delhi. The deceased was identified as Ramesh, and the accused, Raj, has been arrested. The incident took place near Bansal Sweet Shop in Timarpur, and a case of murder has been registered.

The incident took place on Thursday at 8:35 a.m. near Bansal Sweet Shop in Timarpur, north Delhi. The police were immediately dispatched to the spot after receiving information about the quarrel. Ramesh was taken to a hospital by family members but was declared brought dead upon arrival.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (north), M K Meena, stated that a case of murder has been registered at Timarpur police station based on the statement of the injured, identified as Sunny. The accused, Raj, a resident of JJ cluster in Timarpur, has been arrested in connection with the incident.

According to the DCP, there were altercations over alcohol, and Ramesh was hit by a nearby brick by the assailant, Raj. The case is currently under further investigation to uncover more details about the incident and the motive behind the attack.
