Amandeep poised to take on all challengers in the sixth leg of WPGT Golf

The sixth leg of the Women’s Pro Golf Tour will kick off at DLF Golf and Country Club in Gurugram this week. Amandeep Drall, last week’s winner, will be a top contender among the 46 players participating, the highest number ever on the WPG Tour. The prize purse is set at Rs. 25 lakh.

Joining Amandeep in the competition will be Vani Kapoor, Hitaashee Bakshi, Sneha Singh, Vidhatri Urs, and Zara Anand, among others. The presence of the three-member Indian Golf Union’s team for the Queen Sirikit Cup adds an interesting element to the tournament. The season so far has seen four different winners in the last five events, all of whom will be competing this week.

Noteworthy contenders hoping to clinch their first win of 2024 include Gaurika Bishnoi, Ridhima Dilawari, Neha Tripathi, Seher Atwal, and Khushi Khanijau. Seven amateurs will also take to the field. The tournament format will consist of four rounds and 72 holes, following last week’s setup. It is sure to be an exciting and competitive week of golf.
