An adult porn actor from America, Whitney Wright faced several accusations on Monday for promoting Iran’s government propaganda. She did the same after boasting about her trip to Iran on social media. The American actress also posted pictures from sites like “shut-down US embassy.” The authorities of the Muslim country have straight away denied being supportive of Whitney Wright’s visit. They clarified that Whitney Wright got the visa to travel to the Islamic country like any other foreign citizen. Moreover, the authorities were unaware of her obscene professional career.
Whitney Wright Raised Eyebrows in Iran
Wright is popular for her vehement criticism of Israel, the country regarded as Iran’s arch-enemy, in her posts. However, she has angered the Iranian exiles in particular as she featured herself observing the “women’s strict Islamic dress code” in early 2022 when protests against obligatory hijab were prevalent. The protests took a bad shape after September 2022 when Mahsa Amini died in police custody. Allegedly, Mahsa Amini was arrested for openly discarding the dress rules.
Masih Alinejad, the prominent US-based Iranian dissident, went to X and wrote,
“American porn star Whitney Wright is in Iran, my birth country, where women are killed for simply showing their hair and being true to themselves.”
She added that the pornstar had been “completely covered up” in the pictures and “Iranian women don’t want to obey a discriminatory law.”
Wright posed at the US embassy, beside a flagpole where the torn US flag was lying on the ground. The porn star donned herself with a long coat, trouser suit, and a long enveloping headscarf. Her one million Instagram followers enjoyed one of her unusual looks.
Whitney Wright got the invitation to Tehran to promote the Islamic Republic. Femme Azadi, a “France-based association for Iranian women Association” went to X and wrote, “They stop at nothing.”
Nasser Kanani, the spokesman of foreign ministry clarified that he was unaware of the trip. However, Americans are not forbidden from visiting Iran.
Whitney Wright Hit Back
Wright responded to the criticisms of her pictures on Instagram. However, the pictures seem to have been removed now. The star asked,
“Posting photos of my Iran trip now means I’m pushing Iran propaganda? Just sharing what I saw on the inside and outside.”
Moreover, Wright also posted images from Morocco, Lebanon, and Egypt.
