Amit Shah conducts roadshow in Karnataka, encourages voters to back BJP-JD-S alliance in Lok Sabha polls

Union Home Minister Amit Shah conducted a roadshow in Karnataka’s Channapatna town, urging voters to support the BJP-JD-S alliance in the upcoming general election. He emphasized that voting for either party would ultimately be in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The event saw the participation of over 20,000 supporters and workers from both parties.

Accompanied by prominent leaders such as former Karnataka chief minister H.D. Kumaraswamy and state unit BJP president B.Y. Vijayendra, HM Shah covered a 1.5 km distance during the roadshow, with supporters showering flowers and chanting slogans in favor of the alliance. Speaking to the crowd, he highlighted PM Modi’s vision for the country’s development and urged voters to secure more than 400 seats for him.

Expressing concerns over the Social Democratic Party of India’s support to the Congress in Karnataka, HM Shah urged the people to consider their safety, referencing recent explosions in Bengaluru. He expressed confidence in BJP candidate Dr. C.N. Manjunath’s victory and praised him as a service-oriented individual, predicting a margin of 5 lakh votes in his favor.

H.D. Kumaraswamy echoed HM Shah’s sentiments, emphasizing the unity between BJP and JD-S. Karnataka unit BJP president Vijayendra criticized the Congress for its response to the alliance, stating that voters would give a fitting answer in the upcoming election. The Bengaluru Rural Lok Sabha constituency, traditionally a stronghold of Deputy Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, will witness a contest with Dr. C.N. Manjunath, who is the son-in-law of former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda, as the BJP candidate.
