Amit Shah, Union Home Minister, set to inaugurate new offices for three multistate cooperative societies

New Delhi, March 13 (IANS) – Union Home Minister and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah is set to inaugurate a new office building for three multi-state cooperative societies at the World trade Centre, Naoroji Nagar, in the national capital. The societies include Bhartiya Beej Sahakari Samiti Limited (BBSSL), National Cooperative Organics Limited (NCOL), and National Cooperative Export Limited (NCEL).

The inauguration marks a significant initiative by the Ministry of Cooperation to fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Sahakar se Samriddhi.” For a long time, there has been a need for a separate office building for these societies, and now they will be able to work seamlessly. The Union government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, established these national-level multi-state cooperative societies for exports, organic produce, and seeds, registered under MSCS Act, 2002.

The cooperative societies at all levels, interested in the activities specified for each society, are eligible to become members, ranging from ‘PACS to APACS level.’ The aim is to uplift people associated with agriculture, procure agricultural produce and seeds from farmers via PACS, and strengthen PACS to provide farmers with maximum value for their produce, preventing leakages in the process.

The separate office building inauguration for BBSSL, NCOL, and NCEL will be a milestone in the cooperative sector, ensuring the smooth functioning of the societies to secure consistent income for farmers, aligning with Prime Minister Modi’s vision of “Sahakar se Samriddhi.” The event will be attended by officials from related Central ministries/departments, the newly formed organizations, related organizations such as APEDA and FSSAI, foreign embassies in India, and National Cooperative Federations officials and delegates across the country.
