Andhra Pradesh Minister Mekapati Goutham Reddy Dies of Cardiac Arrest

Andhra Pradesh Industries and IT minister Mekapati Goutham Reddy died of a heart attack in Hyderabad on Monday. The 50-year old minister was rushed to a private hospital following a complaint about chest pain in the early hours. The doctors at the hospital declared him brought dead.

Sources said that Goutham had recently recovered from Covid-19 and was busy in investors’ meetings when he suddenly suffered a heart attack. It’s possible the post-covid complications led to this tragedy, but doctors don’t know for sure yet why or how it happened.

Sources also said, that Mekapati Goutham Reddy was an elite fitness competitor who used to maintain strict dietary restrictions.

Goutham visited Dubai during the last week where he held several meetings with top global industrialists trying to bring investments in Hyderabad. He had come back from this expo only on Saturday!

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Governor Biswa Bhushan Harichandan expressed shock over the sudden death of Mekapati Goutham Reddy.
