Ankur Kumar named CEO of Essar Power’s renewable energy division

Essar Power Limited has appointed Ankur Kumar as the Chief Executive Officer of its renewable business division. Kumar, with over 24 years of experience in renewable energy, will lead Essar’s transition into green energy. Previously, he served as the CEO at ACME Solar Holdings Pvt. Ltd., spearheading strategic expansions.

In his new role, Kumar will work closely with the Essar Power board to build a strong portfolio in renewable energy. Prashant Ruia, Director, Essar Capital, expressed, “With Ankur Kumar joining us, we hope to further our plans in the renewable sector.” Kumar stated, “Our collective efforts will play a significant role in driving positive change for generations to come.”

Kumar’s leadership experience at TBEA Xinjiang Sunoasis Co. Ltd. showcases his proficiency in achieving business objectives and delivering projects within budget. He holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Indore, and a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) degree from Delhi University. Essar Power is focused on transforming the energy sector to green with Kumar’s appointment.
