Apple Wants To Reduce The Production Gap Between China and India For iPhone 14 – Bloomberg

According to Bloomberg News on Tuesday, Apple Inc. (AAPL.O) intends to start producing the iPhone 14 in India approximately two months after it is released outside of China. This will reduce the time between product launches from the customary six and nine months.

The initial iPhone 14s from India, which will comply with the preliminary September official launch, is highly probable to be postponed to October or November, according to Bloomberg. The company is currently working with supply chain partners to rapidly increase industrial production in India.

Foxconn, an Apple partner with headquarters in Taiwan, said that it had researched the logistics of receiving Chinese goods and constructing the iPhone 14 at its facility beyond Madras, a city in southern India.

America And China Ties Affecting iPhone 14 Sale

After Beijing’s disagreements with America and nationwide lockdowns interrupted manufacturing, the American tech titan is reportedly considering its alternatives. Reuters contacted Apple for comment, but they didn’t get back to them right away.

Apple has been moving some aspects of iPhone manufacturing from China to certain other markets, which include India, which is home to the second-largest smartphone market in the world. They also have plans to organize iPad tablets in India.

Apple Inc Main Focus Isn’t China

Contract manufacturers who provide American companies are heavily focusing on Vietnam, Mexico and other nations in addition to China as their aim is diversification of their operations outside of China.

In a previous effort to slow China’s advancements in the semiconductor industry and safeguard American businesses, the United States was proposing restricting supplies of American chipmaking technology to flash storage manufacturers in China.
