Argentina, Trinidad & Tobago Men and USA Women Secure Spots in FIH Indoor Hockey World Cup 2025
The Indoor Pan American Cup 2024 concluded with Argentina men and USA women clinching gold medals. They have secured their spots in the FIH Hockey Indoor World Cups 2025 along with Trinidad & Tobago in the men’s category.
In the men’s competition, Argentina, USA, Trinidad & Tobago, Guyana, and Canada competed in the league stage. Argentina emerged as the group topper winning all four matches. Trinidad & Tobago and Guyana also qualified for the semi-final.
Argentina defeated Guyana in the first semifinal while Trinidad & Tobago edged out USA in a thrilling 11-goal tie. Argentina went on to win the final 5-2 with Agustin Ceballos scoring a hat-trick and top-scoring in the tournament with 12 goals.
In the women’s competition, the United States, Argentina, Canada, and Uruguay competed, with USA finishing on top in the league stage. USA defeated Uruguay 5-0 in the semi-final. In a rematch of the opening match, USA secured a 3-2 shoot-out win against Argentina in the final.
USA clinched the gold medal and the lone spot from Pan America in the FIH Indoor Hockey Women’s World Cup 2025. 15-year-old Reese D’Ariano was the star of the women’s tournament, top-scoring with 16 goals for USA.
