Army recruitment scam: 30 places raided, including Kapurthala-Bathinda, case registered on 17 military officers

In connection with the army recruitment scam, the Central Bureau of Investigation has located 30 locations across the country including base hospitals, cantonments and other military establishments besides Kapurthala, Bathinda, Delhi, Kaithal, Palwal, Lucknow, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Visakhapatnam, Jaipur, Guwahati, Jorhat. Raided Many fake documents have been recovered in the raid.

Case filed against 17 military officers

A case has been registered against 17 military officers and their families, including Lt. Colonel, Major, Naib Subedar, Sepoy etc. A case has also been registered against 6 private persons and others on charges related to bribery and irregularities in recruitment of officers and other ranks through the Service Selection Board (SSB). Interestingly, it was revealed in the investigation of the army that even Havildar and Loftinant level officers present in the army took bribe for recruitment.

CBI clamps down on 6 officers of Lieutenant Colonel rank

Based on the complaint of the Army Headquarters, the names of the big officers whose names are included in the CBI FIR. Major Bhavesh Kumar, Lt Col Surendra Singh, Lt Col YS Chauhan, Lt Col Sukhdev Arora, Lt Col Vinay, Lt Navjot Singh, Lt Col Bhagwan, Naib Subedar Kuldeep Singh, Cadet Hemant Dagar, Cadet Indrajit, Havildar Pawan Kumar, Constable Rohit Kumar, Havildar Rajesh Kumar, Havildar Harpal Singh, besides Major Bhavesh Kumar’s wife Devyani, his father Surendra Kumar, his mother Usha Kumawat, Lieutenant Colonel Surendra Singh’s Brother in Law Bhupendra Bajaj, etc. A total of 22 people have been named in the CBI FIR and in addition names of other unknown people have also been included.
