Aroor Arjun Rao in the lead in APRC-Asia Cup, while Aditya Thakur leads South India Rally

Himachal’s Aditya Thakur and co-driver Virender Kashyap took the lead at the 47th MMSC South India Rally. Mangaluru’s Aroor Arjun Rao led in the Asia Cup, overcoming launch control issues. Thakur dominated with a 9.2-second lead, leading in the INRC 2 category as well. The rally concludes with five more stages on Sunday.

Thakur impressed with four stage wins, extending his lead over Dean Mascarenhas. Arjun Rajiv and Anushriya Gulati maintained their leads in other categories. Aroor faced challenges with launch control issues but remains optimistic for a strong finish. Karna Kadur faced setbacks due to gearbox issues, affecting his chances in the rally.

Thakur expressed satisfaction with his performance, attributing his success to hard work and optimal tire choice. Pragathi Gowda experienced a close call but remains focused on improving with each rally. The competition witnessed some intense battles across various categories. The rally continues with intense competition expected in the remaining stages on Sunday.
