As Air Pollution Worsens, Noida Schools Ordered To Hold Online Classes Till Nov 8

In light of the National Capital Region’s increasing pollution, all schools in Noida and Greater Noida were ordered on Thursday to hold classes online for students up to Class 8 until November 8.

As the pollution crosses new limits in Noida and Greater Noida, all educational institutions up to class 8 in the two major cities of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh were on Thursday ordered to conduct classes in online mode. According to the information received, all classes will be conducted online till November 8 and further action will be announced in the coming days.

Gautam Buddh Nagar’s District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) Dharmveer Singh also hinted that schools to hold classes for students in Classes 9 to 12 if possible.

The official release additionally added that any type of outdoor activities like sports, prayers, and meetings will be fully restricted in all academies.

“All educational institutions have been requested to move to online mode up to Class 8. They have been requested to switch to the online mode for Class 9 to 12 to the stretch achievable,” Dharmveer Singh told PTI.

As per Singh, there are presently about 1,800 schools located around Noida and Greater Noida in Gautam Buddh Nagar.

Let us tell you, last Thursday the two cities encountered intense air pollution levels, with parts of the western UP connecting the national capital Delhi being fully surrounded by dense smog.
