The Indian contingent is poised to dominate the recurve section as well, with all-Indian finals across both recurve and compound sections set to take place.

The Indian men’s compound team, consisting of Prathamesh Jawkar, Priyansh, and Kushal Dalal, secured the gold medal by defeating the Iranian team in a thrilling final match. India, the top seed, had earlier triumphed over Iraq in the semi-finals to reach the gold medal match.

In the Compound Mixed Team event, Prathamesh Jawkar and Aditi Swami paired up to clinch another gold medal for India, prevailing over an Iranian duo in the final. While the women’s compound team settled for silver after a tough final against Iran, the Indian archers are determined to claim all the gold medals in recurve archery.

Olympian Deepika Kumari made a remarkable return to international competitions post motherhood, reaching the Recurve Women’s Final. She is set to face compatriot Simranjeet Kaur in what promises to be an exciting showdown on Sunday. Similarly, in the Recurve Men’s Final, World Champion Dhiraj Bommadevara will go head-to-head with seasoned archer Tarundeep Rai.
