Aspirational India’s integration with startup sector to further propel economy: Centre

New Delhi, Feb 27 (IANS) The Centre highlighted the importance of integrating aspirational India with the startup sector to boost the economy towards becoming a ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047. Union Minister Piyush Goyal emphasized on youth entrepreneurship and innovation at the ‘Startup Mahakumbh’ event.

During the event, Minister Goyal quoted Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that Indian startups are reshaping the landscape and are crucial for the country’s progress. He also unveiled the ‘Bharat Startup Ecosystem Registry’ and introduced the website and logo for ‘Startup Mahakumbh.’

Promoting the ‘can-do’ spirit of the youth, Minister Goyal expressed optimism about showcasing India’s success story on a global platform. The startup sector has demonstrated remarkable innovation in various fields like mobility, food, and textiles.

Encouraging DPIIT to provide continued support to startups in different districts, the Minister emphasized on financial and logistical assistance to nurture budding entrepreneurs. The event aimed at fostering growth and development in the startup ecosystem to drive India’s economic transformation.
