Assam set to become a hub of semiconductor industry under leadership of CM Himanta Biswa Sarma

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that the state will become a major hub for the semiconductor industry, creating employment opportunities. PM Modi laid the foundation for three semiconductor projects, with one in Assam’s Morigaon. The state government is grateful for the allocation and anticipates significant industrial growth.

The Prime Minister inaugurated two semiconductor facilities in Gujarat and one in Assam. Sarma expressed his appreciation, stating that the development of the northeast is a priority for PM Modi. The semiconductor plant in Assam is expected to employ 30,000 youth and attract an investment of over Rs 27,000 crore.

Sarma emphasized that the semiconductor facility is just the beginning for Assam’s industrial sector. He believes that the state will make history in industrial development in the near future. The project is expected to boost industrial growth and provide a significant economic stimulus for the region.
