At least three injured in blast in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province

Three persons were wounded in an explosion near the central market in Drazanda, Dera Ismail Khan. The injured have been taken to the hospital, with one in critical condition. The area has been cordoned off, and an investigation is ongoing.

The incident led to damage of four shops and three motorcycles. Police reached the scene promptly after the blast. The KP government has ordered the closure of Gomal University for a day following the directive from the Higher Education Department.

In recent years, KP has seen an increase in attacks, especially in the southern region. This month, there was an attack on the Chodwan police station in Dera Ismail Khan, resulting in the death of 10 policemen and injuries to six others. An investigation into the recent explosion is currently underway.
