Atlantic Music Group announced more staff layoffs on September 19 as part of a major reorganization.
The CEO, Robert Kyncl, did not specify the exact number of employees affected, but reports suggest it could be between 150 and 175.

This follows earlier layoffs and changes within the company.
Some well-known executives who are leaving include Elektra Entertainment and Atlantic Records leaders.
This restructuring is part of a broader plan by Kyncl to transform Warner Music Group, which owns Atlantic.
In August, it was announced that Elliot Grainge, the founder of 10K Projects, will become the new CEO of Atlantic Music Group starting October 1. This change is aimed at creating a more dynamic structure within the company.
The layoffs are not new; over the past 18 months, Warner Music Group has gone through several rounds of staff cuts. Earlier this year, the company laid off about 270 employees, which was around 4% of its workforce.
Other job reductions have also been, primarily in media and support roles. The goal of these layoffs is to streamline the company and adapt to the competitive music industry. In Kyncl’s memo to staff, he acknowledged the hard work and dedication of those who are leaving.
He emphasized the need for these changes to make the company stronger and more efficient. While the layoffs are difficult, they are seen as necessary for the future of Atlantic Music Group. Overall, Atlantic Music Group is undergoing significant changes, including leadership shifts and job cuts, to stay competitive in the fast-evolving music industry.
