Bank Holidays in January 2021: January the first month of 2021 will be full of holidays this year. According to the Reserve Bank’s calendar, banks will not be functioning for 14 days this month. Therefore, people should deal with the work related to banks on time and should avoid going to banks these 14 days.

The Reserve Bank of India has announced holidays for 2021. According to the central bank, this time 8 days in January will be holidays in banks. These days all government, private, foreign and co-operative banks have to accept. Apart from this, there are holidays on the second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays. These 14 holidays (Bank Holidays) also include holidays in different states.

January 1 will be a New Year holiday, January 26 will be a Republic Day holiday. There are holidays of Makar Sankranti, Bihu, Pongal, Ujvar Thirunal, Eamoniyu Erapta, etc. in different states. Therefore, banks in these states will remain closed on this day.

Reserve Bank has also appealed to customers to plan their banking related work keeping this in mind so that any problem can be avoided.

Although bank branches will remain closed these days, ATM machines will remain operational. You can also do your work with Mobile Banking and Internet Banking on holidays.
