Barun-Surbhi-starrer 'Rakshak: Chapter 2' pays homage to soldiers of 'Operation Kulgam'

The makers of the much-anticipated series ‘Rakshak- India’s Braves: Chapter 2’ have released its trailer on Monday. The series aims to showcase a tale of bravery and sacrifice, evoking a sense of patriotism in the viewers. The one minute 35 seconds trailer takes the audience into the execution of ‘Operation Kulgam’, featuring combat battle sequences, realistic action, and raw characters.

The series is based on real events, paying tribute to the valor of Naib Subedar Sombir Singh and DYSP Aman Thakur who sacrificed their lives while fighting terrorists in Kashmir’s Kulgam district. The trailer gives a glimpse of the gripping narrative and the characters involved, including Haider Kasim, referred to as the “master of explosions”, planning to kill the Defence Minister.

Barun Sobti, who plays Naib Subedar Sombir Singh, expressed his excitement about portraying a character that embodies patriotism and duty. Meanwhile, Surbhi Chandna, who plays the wife of Barun’s character, shared her pride in contributing to a project that celebrates the spirit of the nation’s heroes. Vishwas Kini, who plays DYSP Aman Kumar Thakur, resonated deeply with the commitment of real-life heroes.

The series, produced by Juggernaut Studios and featuring Barun Sobti, Surbhi Chandna, and Vishwas Kini, is set to premiere on Amazon miniTV from February 22.
