So, Bollywood’s hopes are pinned on Anees Bazmee’s horror-comedy Bollywood Movie “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2”.

‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ Movie Story

Please don’t put too much mind into comparing 2007’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa just because of the title, or else you might be disappointed, as this story written by Akash Kaushik has no connection to the previous film except for Manjulika and two songs Hare Ram and Mere Dholna.

At the very beginning of the film, we see that in a mansion, a tantrik is going on to save the daughter-in-law (Tabu) of the house from the clutches of the witch Manjulika and the tantrik takes out the soul and locks it in a room in the mansion itself, After which the whole family leaves the mansion. The story returns to today, where Reet (Kiara Advani) is returning home after completing her medical studies to marry as per her father’s wish. On her way, she bumps into Ruhaan Randhawa (Karthik Aryan), who believes in living freely. Things turn out to be such that Reet learns that her sister and fiancé are in fact in love with each other. So, to unite them, she pretends to be dead with the help of Ruhaan and reaches Purani Haveli to hide.

Obviously, now that the mansion is open after years and Manjulika’s ghost gets a chance to wreak haoc in the haunted mansion. The ritual becomes the soul for the family members, so the soul who talks to the spirit soul, misleads the people by becoming Baba. Now if you start looking for logic in this story, you will find it awkward, but Farhad Samji’s screenplay and Aakash’s dialogues are laughable. The punches of the comedy have turned out to be good, which makes Kartik Aaryan laugh due to his excellent comic timing.

Apart from good comic punches in the film, Karthik has also got a full opportunity to show his acting ability and he has not missed this opportunity at all. The number of his fans will definitely increase after this film. Kiara Advani does justice to her character. However, due to being hidden, sometimes they disappear from the screen for a long time. At the same time, Tabu proves herself as an effortless actor again. She is the strongest link in the film. Apart from this, the trio of Sanjay Mishra, Rajpal Yadav and Ashwini Kalsekar also works to increase the dose of laughter.

The weak link of the film is its climax. In Akshay Kumar-Vidya Balan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa, where the suspense remains intact till the end. The suspense opens up much earlier in this film, which reduces the thrill. The final twist is also a foregone conclusion. The film seems to have ended in a hurry. Talking about the music, the song Hare Ram Hare Ram has been used well throughout the film. Apart from this, My Drumming and De Tali are also fine. Overall, if the climax was tight, it would have been fun, but getting lost in this maze with family on the weekend is not a bad deal.
