Additionally, he commended the Nation for its “incredible capacity for producing heaps of safe, efficient, and reasonably priced vaccines, some of them backed by the Gates Foundation,” and claimed that these vaccines prevented other diseases from spreading across the globe and prevented the deaths of millions all through the COVID-19 pandemic.

During his visit to India on Friday, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation co-chair Gates stated he had a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In particular, Gates said he spoke with Modi about creating Covid vaccinations and funding the country’s healthcare infrastructure.

It also developed an open-source platform called Co-WIN that allows people to monitor and control a staggering amount of vaccine consultations and provides digital accreditations to those who have received the vaccine.

He mentioned that during the pandemic, India provided 300 million individuals with emergency digital payments, including 200 million women.
