These charges were related to an incident that occurred in November 2018 where they allegedly they stole money from a woman named Matilda Mwanza.
In the media reports, it was stated that she went to Bishop John General to cure her toothache. She claimed they propelled her to open a new bank account, withdraw K40,000, and pay K21,000 as a tithe to the church.
