BJP protests Karnataka government’s land allotment to Minority Welfare Dept, denounces it as ‘land jihad’

In Bengaluru, the BJP accused the Karnataka government of land jihad after deciding to hand over Rs 500 crore worth of land to the Minority Welfare Department. Leader of Opposition R. Ashoka raised concerns about the government giving away land belonging to the Department of Animal Husbandry.

Ashoka expressed his objections, stating, “We don’t have any objection if vacant land is given. But, the government is handing over the land belonging to the Department of Animal Husbandry.” He took to social media to criticize the move, calling it “Congress sarkarada land jihad.”

Questioning the government’s decision, Ashoka asked, “What was the necessity to shut down the government veterinary hospital which was treating cows and other animals and hand it over to Muslims? We will not allow the handing over of Rs 500 crore worth land. Can we call this measure of the Congress government as land jihad?”

The Karnataka government ordered to hand over two acres of land in Bengaluru for the construction of Moulana Azad/Morarji Desai Residential Schools to the Minority Welfare Department. The move has sparked controversy and raised concerns about the government’s allocation of valuable land resources.
