BJP will not secure second place in any of the 20 seats in Kerala, states Pinarayi Vijayan

Thiruvananthapuram, April 6 (IANS) Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan asserted that the BJP has no chance of winning in Kerala and will not even finish second in any of the 20 Lok Sabha seats. Speaking at Alappuzha, Vijayan stated that Kerala is not conducive for the Sangh Parivar ideology.

Vijayan criticized the Congress party for its silence on the controversial CAA in their manifesto, contrasting it with the CPI-M’s promise to repeal the law. He accused the Congress of being complicit with the BJP on the issue, pointing out the defection of party leaders to the BJP.

The Chief Minister’s comments come ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in Kerala on April 26, where 20 members will be elected. In the 2019 elections, the BJP-led NDA candidates finished third in most seats, with a minimal vote share compared to the Congress-led UDF and CPI-M-led Left Front.

Vijayan’s strong stance against the BJP and Congress reflects the political landscape in Kerala, where the CPI-M is determined to maintain its dominance and uphold its ideology against communal politics. The upcoming elections will test the parties’ strategies and voter sentiments in the state.–IANS sg/uk
