Qingyang Zhan’s demise has invaded the media headlines. The woman, also known as ‘K’, was only 25 years old when she passed away. Qingyang Zhan died overnight in a parking lot. This incident occurred near Frank J. Woods Bridge in Topsham, near the Bowdoin College campus, reported Fox News.
The investigation regarding the cause of death is underway. On Sunday, March 31, around 07:00 AM, the police received a complaint regarding the death of an individual. A deceased woman was discovered at 2 Main St. in the parking lot.
Who was Qingyang Zhan?
Qingyang Zhan aka K was a 25-year-old woman who moved to America in 2019. She was born in Shanghai, China. Qingyang Zhan graduated from the Athenian School in Danville, California. She also attended Oxnard College in Oxnard, California.
In the autumn of 2021, K matriculated at Bowdoin. According to TimesNow, many people will remember Qingyang Zhan’s kindness and warmth.
Qingyang’s faculty members regarded her as an engaging and bright presence. K’s academic advisor and Gary M. Pendy Sr. Professor of Social Sciences, Jean Yarbrough, described the 25-year-old as a student being genuinely engaged in important philosophical and religious issues.
Qingyang Zhan participated actively in the Asian Student Association. She also accompanied him in laying the foundation stone of the Chinese Students’ Association located in Bowdoin.
The 25-year-old had a double major in legal studies, government and Asian studies.
Safa Zaki, the Bowdoin College President, in a statement stated, “For K’s parents, brother, and other loved ones, as well as for her friends, classmates, and the entire Bowdoin community, her passing is a tragedy.
