BRS introduces two additional candidates for Lok Sabha elections

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in Telangana has announced two more candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on May 13. BRS president and former chief minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao finalized candidates for Bhongir and Nalgonda Lok Sabha constituencies. Kyama Mallesh will be representing Bhongir, while Kancherla Krishna Reddy will be the candidate from Nalgonda, seats previously held by the Congress in 2019.

The decision to field these candidates comes after the party announced its legislator T. Padmarao Goud as the candidate for the Secunderabad constituency, currently held by the BJP. The BRS chief consulted with party leaders from three constituencies before making these selections. So far, the main opposition party in Telangana has announced candidates for 16 out of 17 Lok Sabha seats, with the Hyderabad seat, historically held by AIMIM, yet to have a declared candidate.

In the previous elections in 2019, the BRS managed to secure nine seats. The party’s latest moves in announcing candidates for the upcoming elections show their determination to gain ground in the region. Stay tuned for more updates on the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Telangana.
