Vlogger Caleb Graves Dies After Completing Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon in Extreme Heat
The 2024 Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon was something to talk about.
A blogger named Caleb Graves passed away while he was in the marathon.
Caleb crossed the finish line on Sunday near Anaheim, California, and right after that, he collapsed.
Emergency responders were quick to arrive at the scene and help him.
They also took him to the Anaheim Global Medical Center, but unfortunately, Caleb was pronounced dead about an hour later.
Who was Caleb Graves?
Caleb, who is known for his social media presence, used to post videos online.
In the last video Caleb posted, he mentioned that he was feeling exhausted while he was walking his dog.
He mentioned how he was tired and suffering as well.
The police said,
“The runner crossed the finish line. As soon as he did, one of the workers at the marathon noticed the gentleman was clutching his chest.”
The weekend when he was running the marathon, the temperature was extremely high as well.
It was about 110°F on Friday and 107°F on Saturday.
Sunday was when the marathon happened.
The Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon is a part of the Disney-run initiative program, which organizes running events at the Disneyland resorts.
A disney spokesperson Jessica Goos said,
“We are deeply saddened by this tragic loss, and our hearts are with Caleb’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.”
