Can the Brezza and Grand Vitara achieve a 5-star safety rating at Bharat NCAP? Explore their features.

Maruti Suzuki has confirmed sending its flagship SUVs Brezza and Grand Vitara for safety tests at Bharat NCAP, alongside its popular hatchback Baleno. The carmaker has been equipping its new generation vehicles with advanced safety features to improve crash test ratings.

According to reports, a senior government official revealed that Maruti has sought safety ratings from India’s vehicle assessment programme. Speculations are rife on which models Maruti has proposed for crash testing. Notably, Brezza and Grand Vitara are among the three cars previously confirmed for testing at Bharat NCAP.

Maruti Brezza, a sub-compact SUV, previously secured a four-star safety rating from Global NCAP. It is equipped with features like multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and more. With recent updates, it is anticipated to achieve even better safety ratings at Bharat NCAP, competing with Tata Nexon’s impressive five-star rating.

On the other hand, Maruti Suzuki’s Grand Vitara SUV will undergo its first crash test. Launched in 2022, the SUV boasts six airbags, seat belt warning for all occupants, 360-degree camera, Head-up Display, ABS with EBD, ESP, and traction control modes. Despite stiff competition from Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, Grand Vitara aims to excel in safety standards.

Maruti Suzuki is focusing on enhancing safety features in its vehicles to secure better crash test ratings. With Brezza and Grand Vitara undergoing tests at Bharat NCAP, the carmaker aims to solidify its commitment to passenger safety. Stay tuned for updates on the safety ratings of these popular SUVs from Maruti Suzuki.
