WATCH: Carnival Cruise Ship Brawl, Video Captures Wild Fight Among Passengers

The final day of a five-day cruise to Central America in early June aboard the Carnival Paradise was eventful but for all the wrong reasons.
An all-out brawl between female passengers soon turned into a fistfight and free-for-all with the women screaming expletives, tearing at one another’s hair, and even hurling chairs as missiles towards each other.
Security guards tried to break up the scuffle and had to use all their skills to douse the melee. Passenger Nick Richardson, who shot the footage of the high-seas scuffle after coming up on the scene, described it as akin to adding turbulence to an otherwise idyllic voyage.
Richardson, 43, who was on the cruise ship with his fiancée and three children, said,
“This is just what happens at 3 in the morning when you’ve got a bunch of drunken girls from Tampa,”
The video, which has since become viral, shows the altercation starting with a group of women arguing in one of the dining rooms on June 6.
The argument turns intense and a brawl erupts before one woman picks up a chair and hurls it towards another woman.
This is followed by the women breaking into fistfights and they try to throw the opponent on the ground.
Richardson, who was filming the whole scene, said,
“I’m like, ‘It’s definitely gonna go down.’ It’s why I got it on video. Those girls were already set on what they were gonna do. It just got out of hand very, very quickly. And that’s how it happens. You’re just drinking too much.”

The video, which runs for about six and a half minutes, was uploaded by Richardson on both YouTube and TikTok. The uploader told a local media outlet that the women had probably drunk too much.
Richardson said that he had walked into the dining area to have a pizza when the melee started. He could be heard in the video asking for a pizza and also tried to calm down the marauding women, even inviting them to end the fight and have a pizza.
However, he did not involve himself more since he knew he was walking into a war zone.
A spokesperson for the Carnival Paradise cruise line has, in an email, confirmed the incident and added that the ship’s security team had to intervene to break the fight.
It also added that such unruly behavior by the guests will not be tolerated. Unruly behavior by the guests can lead to hefty fines and such guests will not be allowed to sail on Carnival Cruise Line again.
Carnival Cruise Line can carry 2,052 passengers and includes trips from Tampa to the Bahamas or Central American countries, including Mexico and Honduras.
