Carrie Underwood Faces Backlash for Donald Trump Inauguration Performance Amidst Lawsuit Rumors Against ‘The View’

Carrie Underwood’s decision to perform at Donald Trump’s inauguration has not gone down well with many, and she recently faced criticism from “The View” co-host Joy Behar.

Carrie Underwood’s decision to perform at Donald Trump’s inauguration as the next President of the US has ruffled a lot of feathers among liberals.

The View panel held divergent opinions on the announcement made by the country singer and her decision to sing “America the Beautiful” before Donald Trump assumed the office of the US President.

On one hand, Whoopi Goldberg, who is a staunch critic of Donald Trump, supported Carrie Underwood’s decision, while co-host Joy Behar harshly slammed her.

Behar opined about Underwood and stated:

“She says, ‘I love our country.’ How do you love your country and support and normalize somebody who was a convicted felon who wants to destroy the country, in my opinion? I don’t understand how you say you love your country at the same time that you normalize this convicted felon.”

Behar’s statement came a day after Carrie Underwood made her decision to perform on Inauguration Day public. In a statement, she stated:

“I love our country and am honoured to have been asked to sing at the Inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event. I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and look to the future.”

In the left-inclined talk show, Behar has relentlessly derided Carrie Underwood and said that she would not tell the singer not to sing at the event because she believed in free speech. However, she herself would not do any such deed, and this decision is not influenced by anyone.

Meanwhile, the internet is abuzz with a rumour that country singer and songwriter Carrie Underwood is going to sue the ABC talk show, “The View.” This is in response to host Joy Behar deriding her for agreeing to perform at Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration.

The genesis of this rumour can be traced to channel OkayRickk, which in a YouTube video on January 15 claimed that the country singer is going to sue The View’s host Joy Behar.

The post became viral and garnered 336,509 views in less than 48 hours. Other channels like Da Real Adogg and Recklezz also posted similar content and got thousands of views.

However, all these viral claims have turned out to be fake. No major media outlets have carried this news, and the same has not been confirmed by the American Idol winner.
