CE Plus app launched for all in-flight cabin executives: Air India CEO
New Delhi, Feb 23 (IANS) Tata-owned Air India’s CEO Campbell Wilson announced the launch of the Cabin Executive Plus (CE Plus) app for all in-flight cabin executives. The app will provide access to flight rosters, real-time seat maps, and passenger information, among other features.
Wilson stated, “The app can also generate Cabin Crew Voyage reports in offline mode for quick issue resolution and tracking.” He emphasized the app’s ability to enhance the in-flight experience for guests by personalizing services based on passenger information.
In another development, Wilson revealed Air India’s partnership with the Karnataka government to establish MRO facilities at Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru. This move is part of the airline’s broader MRO strategy to enhance maintenance capabilities and support each other within the Tata airlines Group Engineering function.
Furthermore, Air India signed a 12-year agreement with SIA Engineering for component and on-wing engine support for the current A320 fleet. Wilson mentioned plans to pursue similar agreements with other industry players to support different fleets in the future. This marks a significant milestone as the airline transitions from planning to execution in the field of engineering.
