Central Asian youth delegation visits India to witness the nation’s growth story.

A 100-member youth delegation from five Central Asian countries is currently visiting India from March 5 to 13 to experience the country’s growth, cultural richness, and space program. This visit is part of the initiatives following the first India-Central Asia Summit held in January 2022.

“Youth leaders from different walks of life, achievers and influencers from Central Asia will have the opportunity to see for themselves India’s growth, its technological, industrial and research capabilities; get insights into India’s space program, as well as, to enjoy India’s rich cultural heritage,” stated the Ministry of External Affairs.

The program includes visits to premier research institutions, educational institutions like IIT and IIM, historical sites in Delhi, interactions with ‘MY BHARAT’ volunteers, meetings with Indian dignitaries, and a visit to the iconic Taj Mahal. This initiative aims to enhance the understanding and appreciation of Indian society, growth, and changes among the youth of Central Asian countries.

India and Central Asia have a long history of exchanging people, culture, and ideas. The delegation’s visit will not only help the young delegates gain a better understanding of contemporary India but also foster sustained people-to-people interaction between India and Central Asian countries. This initiative marks the second such visit, following the first delegation hosted by India in November 2022.
