Chaitra Navratri 2022: Know the dates and auspicious time of Ghata Sthapana



Chaitra Navratri 2022 The preparation for Chaitra Navratri has started across most parts of North and Central India. Chaitra Navratri is commencing on 2nd April and will continue till Ram Navami. Special preparations are going on in the city’s Shakti Mandir. Post-Covid the devotees are making preparations with double enthusiasm and Prasad will be distributed this year after a two year hiatus.

Navratri has special significance in Indian culture, especially in the North and Central parts of the country. According to the Bhagavata Purana, there are four Navratri in a year, of which two are Gupta Navratri( Gupt means hidden in hindi) and two are celebrated publicly. Chaitra Navratri has special significance in Sanatan Dharma, it is also called as Ram Navratri (Chaitra Navratri 2022 Start and End Date). This year Chaitra Navratri is going to start from April 2. Preparations are going on in most of the Hindu houses as well as in the temples of Mata.

As per popular mythology, Lord Rama worshipped Goddess Durga on the seafront before his expedition to Sri Lanka to rescue Mata Sita who was abducted by the Asura King Ravana. It is believed that Worshiping nine different forms of Maa Durga on the nine days of Navratri fulfills all the wishes and the blessings of the mother always remain on her devotees. According to a popular legend, Lord Brahma himself had told Brihaspati about the importance of Chaitra Navratri. This story is also described in Brahma Puran.


Chaitra Navratri Will Start From 2 to 11 April

According to the Hindu calendar, Chaitra Navratri begins from the Pratipada date of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month. This time Chaitra Navratri is falling from 02 April 2022, Saturday to 11 April 2022, Monday. Pratipada Tithi will commence at 11.53 am on Friday, April 01, and will end at 11.58 am on Saturday, April 02.
