Chandrayaan 3 Mission Launch Deets: Check How and Where To Watch Online!

On 14 July 2023, Friday, ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation ) will launch its ISRO Moon Mission or Chandrayaan 3 from its Satish Dhawan Space Centre, which is located in Sriharikota. The upcoming moon mission is the follow-up mission of Chandrayaan-2. The launching will be done by LVM3 from SDSC SHAR in Sriharikota. Until 100 kilometers of the lunar orbit, the propulsion module will be carrying the lander and rover configuration.

Chandrayaan 3 Launch Date, Time

Chandrayaan 3 is Indian Space Research Organisation’s third lunar mission. The spacecraft has been scheduled to be launched on 14 July at 2:35 PM. Chandrayaan-3 will have a journey of at least a month before landing on the moon. The lander is expected to land on the surface of the moon softly on 23 or 24 August.

Budget Allocation

For the successful implementation of ISRO’s third lunar mission, a total budget of Rs 615 crores has been allocated. The budget allocated for this mission is much less than the previous mission. The budget allocated for the second lunar mission, Chandrayaan 2 was implemented with a budget of Rs 960 crores. However, Chandrayaan 2 was a failed attempt even after the successful reach of Vikram lander on the lunar orbit.

Chandrayaan 3 is the third moon mission of ISRO which has been set to be launched on 14 July. The propulsion module weighs 2148 KG and the Lander Module weighs 1752 kg which includes Rover of 26 kg as well. Thus, the total weighs 3900 kg.
